Zen Shin Katsu Treatment Room
Generally, the main areas identified for such pressure point massage is situated on either side of the spine. Points referred to in Traditional Chinese Medicine as "Back - shu Points" Normally the whole body receives attention, not just the point of pain; and often reflex points on the hands, feet and ears are used in treatments. As well as specific points along meridian lines. These techniques use traditional points to effectively reduce the perception of pain.
Gentle stretching and movement of the appropriate joints aimed at stretching and re aligning meridian energy gives great relief to aches and pains of a muscular /skeletal nature.
Warmth is often created to areas of the body using the chi energy flowing through the practitioner’s hands.
Relaxation or meditation techniques are used to teach the power of positive thinking (or "mind over matter") an integral part of Oriental theory. Other focusing and visualisation techniques may be used to achieve an altered perception about pain or problems.
