Club Committee/Child Protection Panel

This club committee structure is based on the recommendation from the East Riding Club Accreditation Scheme. Club committees are involved for their support with carrying out the long-range goals of the club. Club committee chairs report all committee activities to the club’s board. The standing club committees to be appointed are:

  • Club administration – This committee should conduct activities associated with the effective operation of the club.

  • Club public relations – This committee should develop and implement plans to provide the public with information about Hull Kung Fu and to promote the club’s service projects and activities.

  • Membership – This committee should develop and implement a comprehensive plan for the recruitment and retention of members.

  • Service projects – This committee should develop and implement educational, humanitarian, vocational and physical projects that address the needs of its community and communities in the Hull & East Riding district.

The Child Protection Panel

Hull Kung Fu are committed to safeguarding the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. Hull Kung Fu train with many children and young people every year in a variety of ways and has developed a Child Protection Policy and Vulnerable Adults Policy to support instructors in putting into practice the clubs commitment.
Outlined below are members of the Hull Kung Fu Child Protection & Vulnerable Adults Panel.
The Panel shall be responsible for:·
  • Providing advice and support as required to Member Associations, Child Protection & Vulnerable Adults Officers and Coaches.
  • Monitoring the operation of the Child Protection & Vulnerable Adults Policies of the Organisation.
  • Where required to investigate complaints on any other matter relating to Child Protection and Vulnerable Adults incidents within the organisation, including investigations into any allegation against a Coach or other individual within the organisations membership.
  • Any other duties requested of it by the Executive Committee from time to time.
