Ching Lo Course

Hull Chinese Massage was established 2 years ago to allow free training to young people in the Hull and East Riding in Traditional Chinese Massage in order to help them with employment in later life.

All the instructors are in full time work in their personal jobs, but they always find time to help others when they can in the way of voluntary work. The club has a large amount of regular members but also serves around 200 extra people in the local community. They have spent years helping people with bad backs, trapped nerves etc.

The long term goal of Hull Chinese Massage is to place young people in employment and give them the skills to succeed in life.

We are currently running a 2 year Diploma in the Art of Ching Lo Massage (Collateral Vessels) to 40 of the organisations existing students free of charge. This includes masage techniques, stretching techniques, hot stone therapy, ear candling, chinese cupping and Neuro Linguistic Programming.

What is Ching Lo

The meaning of Ching Lo translates to Collateral vessels.
External stimulation of energy (chi) and "Blood" in diverse ways, including acupressure, acupuncture, cupping, moxabustion, and application of "acu-powder," electricity, herbs, or magnets.

Ching Lo is based on joint mobilisation, general massage, connective tissue massage, deep friction massage, lymphatic massage, passive range of motion exercises, muscle energy techniques, and nerve mobilisation. Additional skills of ear candling, Chinese cupping, hot stone therapy and neuro linguistic programming are also used.
