Course Syllabus: Chinese Cupping & Moxibustion

Course Description:
This course educates the student with the theory, skills, and clinical application of Chinese Cupping and Moxibustion. All skills will be introduced through in class theory, on-site demonstration and hands-on practice.

Qualification:
The Advanced Training Course will allow the student to obtain an attendance certificate in the practical use of Chinese Cupping and Moxibustion.
The student will be required to have completed Level 3 in Anatomy and Physiology (ASET, VTCT or ITEC) and also have Level 3 massage (e.g., The Art of Ching Lo Diploma).

Requirements

Students will need to bring to training sessions the following items:

  • Text books if desired (not essential, ask us about recommended reading)
  • Writing pad
  • One red, and one blue or black pen
  • Other coloured pens, pencils or crayons
  • Appropriate clothing such as track suits and T Shirts for practical sessions

 

No large earrings, bracelets or watches should be worn when giving treatment, and it is essential that nails should be kept cut short.

  • When to use Cupping.
  • Equipment needed for Cupping.
  • Using Chinese Cups.
  • Removing Cups.
  • Diagnosis of the skin.

How students are assessed:

Students are assessed by means of practical sessions throughout the days course and also with the completion of 2 case studies external to the course.
